Great food. Service was good. Nothing I can find to complain about. If you are ever in Oakley Kansas or driving by stop and eat. It's a great place. The steak was perfectly cooked and the Rocky Mountain Oysters were awesome.

My husband and I are traveling and were very hungry for a nice meal. I Googled nearby restaurants and based upon others’ reviews, we decided to try the Bluff. It was a great choice. My chicken breasts and my husband’s sirloin were both cooked to perfection. Our sides, baked potatoes and corn, were equally as good. To top it off, a choice of several small desserts was included. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was the salad. The lettuce wasn’t the freshest and there wasn’t anything in it other than a few small pieces of carrot, but the raspberry vinegrette salad dressing was delicious.

Not a lot of choices in Oakley and this is a wise choice in a community of much greater size. Good food, good prices, good service. The greatest dig I can make was related to their service. Only one server for the whole place was grossly insufficient. Caused undue delays and waiting which impacted the overall experience.

The Bluff has been a staple eating and social destination in western Kansas for many years, and even my most recent visits make it easy to understand why. It's a little bitty place in a little bitty town, run by great people and frequented by locals and visitors alike. The best things to order are grilled items, you're not at Olive Garden or Red Lobster (gag.) Best bets include burgers, chicken fried steak, and Reuben sandwiches. EVERY small town eating establishment has menu items they are best known for, and it pays to take the time to ask the people who eat there frequently what they like from the menu. I tend to be critical of restaurants with huge menus that can't make any of it well, so I appreciate places like The Bluff that stick to their greatest hits, focusing on the basics instead of trying to dress up a pig like a princess. I don't come through Oakley often, but every time I do, I always have at least one meal at The Bluff. Good stuff. . . .
